About Us

The Noble Youth Foundation Uganda (NOYU) is a fully registered indigenous non-governmental organisation, certified under the NGO Act, 2016 of the Republic of Uganda. We exist to uplift Uganda’s children and youth towards excellence, nurturing hope and resilience in the face of adversity.

NOYU emerged from a transformative journey, evolving from its regional roots as the Lango Youth Development Network (LAYDNET) to embrace a national vision.

This rebranding signifies more than a name change; it represents a leap into a future where impact knows no bounds.

It is also a commitment to inclusivity and a recognition of the diverse tapestry of Uganda. While rooted in Lango, our vision now extends beyond regions, breaking down barriers and fostering a universal resonance.

Our story began in 2013 as a response to the Northern Uganda conflict. In the years since, we have stood alongside communities facing the COVID-19 pandemic, unemployment, rising teenage pregnancies, and the daily realities of poverty.

Through it all, NOYU remains a beacon of hope, resolute in our commitment to creating positive and lasting change in the lives of Uganda’s youth and children.

“Strive for Tomorrow” is not just our founding motto; it is the spirit that drives every programme, every project, and every interaction we have with the communities we serve.
