Delivering the “Start and Improve Your Business” Curriculum

Project Description:

Since 2016, NOYU has delivered the International Labour Organisation’s globally recognised “Start and Improve Your Business” (SIYB) curriculum to youth across all five districts of our operation. NOYU’s trainers have equipped over 23,300 young people with practical entrepreneurial skills—from business planning to financial management—creating sustainable employment opportunities throughout Northern Uganda. Through this long-running project, NOYU continues to transform job seekers into job creators.

Partner Role & Brief
Noble Youth Foundation (NOYU) The lead implementing organisation, delivering SIYB training through our dedicated team of certified trainers and providing follow-up mentorship to youth entrepreneurs.
International Labour Organisation (ILO) A United Nations agency that sets international labour standards and promotes decent work for all. The ILO developed the SIYB curriculum, a world-leading entrepreneurship training programme used in over 100 countries, and provides technical support to NOYU’s delivery.
